A man who tried to steal beer from the Kroger store early Wednesday morning threw the beer to the floor and pushed an employee who confronted him over a railing, police said.

Police believe three people were involved in the attempted theft of the 30-pack around 12:30 a.m. — the man who shoved the employee, another man who acted as a lookout and a woman who tried to detract employees, a report by officer Patrick Sloan states.

No arrests have been made.

An employee approached the man with the beer as he prepared to leave the store and asked to see the receipt. The employee was pushed over the railing that separates the entrance and exit doors, and landed hard on his back and head, Sloan’s report states.

The woman who was involved in the incident had just gone through the express checkout and bought three cans of baby formula with a Lone Star card, Sloan’s report states.
