Jury selection is scheduled to begin Monday in 35th District Court in the trial of Brownwood man who is accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old relative.
Calvin Eugene Williams, 38, was indicted in November 2007 on a charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child, court records state.
Williams has been jailed since his arrest in September in lieu of $100,000 bond.
A girl told sheriff’s investigator Lana Guthrie a man had been having sexual contact with her since she was 7, court documents state.
Guthrie said earlier an accusation was made when the girl was taken to Brownwood Regional Medical Center because she was ill, and it was discovered she was pregnant.
Also in 35th District Court, according to District Attorney Micheal Murray’s office:
Kimberly Wilkerson pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and was sentenced to seven years in prison.
James Roland Johnson Jr. pleaded no contest to prohibited substances and items in adult or juvenile correctional or detention facility or on property of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice or Texas Youth Commission and was sentenced to six years in prison.
Bobby Joe Terrell was found guilty of failure to register as a sex offender and failure to comply with other requirements by the court and was sentenced to three years in prison.
Randall Phillip Denkins pleaded no contest to forgery and was sentenced to two years in state jail.
