A Lake Jackson man accompanied by his wife and baby was arrested on a drug charge Monday following a traffic stop in Early.
Early police Sgt. Shawn Dibrell arrested Joe Bush, 19, on a charge of possession of marijuana under 2 ounces, Police Chief David Mercer said.
Dibrell made the traffic stop around 11:30 a.m. in the 200 block of Early Boulevard. He found a bag that contained marijuana in the man’s boot and another bag with marijuana in a diaper bag, and the man “claimed ownership,” Mercer said.
CPS was notified and the woman was released with the couple’s 4-month-old son, Mercer said.
