Members of the Brownwood Police Explorers participated in the Texas Law Enforcement Advisors Association (TLEAA) scenario state competition at the University of Texas at Dallas in Richardson.

This is an annual event and more than 35 law enforcement agencies participate.

Two Explorer teams competed in eight of the competition’s 13 scenarios and competed for first, second and third place awards and first-through-fifth place awards in overall team effort.

This year the Brownwood Police Explorers participated in “High Risk Traffic Stops,” “Misdemeanor Traffic Stops,” “First Aid Response,” “Crime Scene Search,” “Arrest, Search and Seizure,” “Calls for Police,” and “Accident Investigation.”

Brownwood teams landed one first place award, three second place awards and two third place awards.

Brownwood Post 1150 was selected as fourth in overall team competition.
