A drunken driving suspect asked a police officer Sunday if he and another officer were going to “beat the (expletive) out of him.”

“I told him no such thing would occur, and that everything was being recorded,” a report by officer Shade Tidwell states.

Tidwell arrested Kenneth Riggs, 30, of San Saba, on a charge of DWI second offense, Tidwell’s report and jail records state.

Tidwell arrested Riggs after he was dispatched to a minor traffic accident at Austin and Center.

At the Law Enforcement Center, Riggs asked if Tidwell and intoxilyzer operator Fred Bastardo if the officers planned to beat him up, Tidwell’s report states.

In other incidents:

• Colt Ferguson, 27, of Bangs, remained jailed Monday in lieu of bonds totaling $100,000 on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault with a motor vehicle.

Officer James Fuller arrested Ferguson Thursday after he was dispatched to the 1300 block of 14th on a report of a fight in progress. Fuller also arrested Tina Garza, 26, on a burglary charge in connection with the same incident. She is free on $30,000 bond.

A man cut another man’s chest with a razor blade knife and tried to run someone over with a vehicle, Fuller’s report states.

• Officer Sky Self arrested Rudolfo Reyna, 41, of Brownwood, on a charge of indecent exposure in the 1600 block of Avenue E. Someone told police a man walked up to a home and exposed himself.

• Officer Chris Hill arrested Ronald Romero, 25, of Ranger, on an assault charge after a dispute between brothers in the 1100 block of San Benito.
