Bulletin Staff Report
The Martin and Frances Lehnis Railroad Museum in Brownwood will begin holding monthly Family Days at the museum of the first Saturday of each month.
Events will begin March 1, museum director Mary Irving said.
“On the first Saturday of every month, the museum will charge a special low admission of $2 per person, age 5 and up,” Irving said. Those under age 5 are admitted free. The usual admission prices are $3, $2.50 and $2 for different aged visitors.
In addition to the lower price, the museum will present an interpretive program at 11 a.m. The first program will be a tour of the caboose, which has not been open to the public as yet, Irving said.
In addition, the Lehnis Heart of Texas Model Railroad Club will be working on the new permanent model railroad layout, and members will be available to answer questions.
The museum is open from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. For more information call (325) 643-6376.
