Five of the six items on the Brown County Commissioners Court agenda for today’s meeting deal with county employees and personnel — technically at least.

The court convenes for a regular session meeting at 9 a.m. in the commissioners courtroom on the main floor of the Brown County Courthouse.

District Attorney Micheal Murray will ask commissioners to approve an application for a grant for a victims’ witness coordinator.

District Clerk Jan Brown will ask the court to approve a replacement employee, as will Precinct 1 Commissioner Steve Adams. Item 4 of the agenda states “Commissioners Court administrative office — Approval of reassignment of employees and salary changes.”

Item 5 of the agenda, the only item not dealing with personnel or employee changes, is the request for equipment purchase from Precinct 3 Commissioner Richard Gist.

The final item on the agenda will be a request from Brown County Tax Assessor Cheryl Nelson for approval to hire a part-time employee.

Following the new business agenda, commissioners will hear reports and consider and approve bills.

Brown County Judge Ray West presides over the court, which meets regularly the first, second and third Monday of each month, and the fourth Monday if there are business items to warrant a meeting.
