Zephyr Historical Association volunteers have been busy this spring restoring the old post office, shown, and other facilities at the Community Center complex. Those attending the Zephyr Exes Homecoming will be able to see their efforts this weekend when activities begin at 6 p.m. Friday at the school cafeteria with a dinner catered by the Class of 2010. An exes basketball game is set for 7:30 p.m. On Saturday, coffee will be served at 9 a.m. in the school cafeteria followed by the Tour of the Historic Village, hosted by the members of the historical association. A 100th anniversary celebration for the Presbyterian church building, currently the Community Center, shown at right, will be held at 10 a.m. Lunch will follow from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. catered by the Zephyr Homecoming Association. The 27th Biennial Homecoming business meeting and awards program will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. with visitation and class meetings scheduled from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Included during that time will be a 50th anniversary reunion of the Class of 1959. A fish fry sponsored by the Zephyr Volunteer Fire Department will be held from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
