Several suspects have been arrested recently in ongoing drug investigations, and several other suspects are at large, sheriff’s officials said.

Authorities are seeking tips from the public in locating suspects who are not in custody, Brown County sheriff’s Sgt. Tony Aaron said.

“We will find the ones we haven’t found,” Sheriff Bobby Grubbs said. “It may take a little time but we will find them. I want to send a message, that we don’t want them here.”

At least 14 suspects have been indicted. Most of the cases involve trafficking of methamphetamine from Abilene and the Metroplex into Brown County, Aaron said.

Suspects not in custody are:

Sherry Brock, 36, of Brownwood, engaging in organized criminal activity.

Leonard Batts Jr., 27, of Abilene, engaging in organized criminal activity.

Jackie Swindall Jr., 24, of Brownwood, engaging in organized criminal activity.

Lisa Cogburn, 19, of Brownwood, engaging in organized criminal activity.

Westley Chaney, 32, of Clyde, two counts of delivery of a controlled substance.

William Keith Kelly, 39, of Cross Plains, delivery of a controlled substance.

Julie Johnson, 36, of Brownwood, possession of a controlled substance.

Darcy Craig Johnson, 49, of Brownwood, engaging in organized criminal activity.

Lakisha Stembridge, 22, of Coleman, possession of a controlled substance.

Katherine Goins, 37, of Zephyr, possession of a controlled substance.

Suspects in custody are:

Cheryl McEwen, 39, engaging in organized criminal activity and delivery of a controlled substance.

Andrea Ratcliff, 60, of Cross Plains, engaging in organized criminal activity.

Tommy Keeton, 48, of Brownwood, manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance.

Lesa Sansom, 47, of Brownwood, possession of a controlled substance.
