An estate planning seminar, sponsored by Howard Payne University, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Courtroom of the Girling Center for Social Justice (located next to the Douglas MacArthur Academy of Freedom on Austin Avenue).

Kristi Franklin Hyatt of Cotton, Bledsoe, Tighe & Dawson, PC, Attorneys at Law in Midland, will be the featured speaker for the event. A frequent lecturer on estate planning, probate, trust and guardianship issues, Hyatt is a 1986 graduate of HPU’s Douglas MacArthur Academy of Freedom. She received her J.D. degree from Baylor University and is board certified in estate planning and probate law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

Participants will find helpful information for taking care of his or her family, church and favorite charities through proper estate planning and time will be available for a question and answer session.
