Prosecutors rested their case Friday afternoon in 35th District Court against Lee Scott Clemons, who is accused of having sexual contact with two child relatives.
Defense attorney Keith Woodley is expected to begin putting on his case Monday.
Clemons, 34, of Early, is standing trial for aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child.
Prosecution witnesses Friday included Texas Ranger Nick Hanna and crime lab personnel who examined a towel seized from Clemons’ garage for DNA evidence.
Some of the sexual contact took place in the garage, according to earlier testimony, and DNA consistent with Clemons’ DNA was found on the towel, testimony showed.
