A horse playday benefiting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation will take place at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at the Blanket School Arena in Blanket.

Sign-up will be at 1 p.m. Events will include barrels, poles, flags, straightaway barrels, and spur.

Cost is $7 per event, or $30 for all events, and prizes will be awarded.

Age divisions are 7 and under, 8-10, 11-14, 15-19 and 20 and over.

A stick horse barrel competition will also be held for contestants age 5 and under. Contestants can bring their own stick horse, or one will be provided.

Ribbons will be awarded to all participants in the event.

Cost to enter the stick horse event

is $3.

A concession stand will be provided, and donations will be accepted.

All proceeds will go to help find a cure for juvenile diabetes.
