LAKE BROWNWOOD - The two candidates in the race for Brown County sheriff will attend a “town hall meeting” Saturday and answer voters’ questions at the North Lake Brownwood Volunteer Fire Station.
The event will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and is being organized by North Lake Brownwood Concerned Citizens.
Incumbent Bobby Grubbs, a Republican, is seeking a second term in office. Democrat Kim Gilliam, a former deputy, is challenging Grubbs’ bid for re-election.
The fire station is at 3340 Windjammer at Thunderbird Bay.
The Fire Department's Ladies Auxiliary, the Sparkettes, will be have a stew and cornbread dinner at 6 p.m. after the meeting at the American Legion. The dinner will be on a donation-only basis and will benefit the North Lake Brownwood Volunteer Fire Department.
