Jailer Jason Behler, 21, of May, turned himself in at the Brown County Jail Monday night and was booked on one count of prohibited substances in a correctional facility, jail records state. He is free on a $15,000 bond.
Jailer Josh Crowder, 19, of Early, also turned himself Monday night and was booked on two counts of prohibited substances in a correctional facility. Crowder is free on bonds totaling $30,000.
Grubbs said he fired them both last week.
Jailer Anthony Spivey, 37, was arrested May 22 on one charge of prohibited substances in a correctional facility and is free on $15,000 bond. Spivey, who was fired when he was arrested, faces a second identical charge, but investigators have not yet served him with that warrant because he is deployed with the National Guard, sheriff’s investigator Scott Bird said.
Inmate Harold Johnson, 33, of Crosby, was charged with prohibited substances in a correctional facility. Johnson is currently incarcerated at a state prison unit for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, jail records show.
Inmate Pancho Villarreal, 20, of Brownwood was charged with criminal attempt-prohibited substance in a correctional facility. Villarreal remains in the Brown Count Jail on two motions to revoke probation.
