Brown County Commissioners will consider possible approval of a “457 Plan” for county employees during their 9 a.m. Monday meeting.
Commissioners court will convene in the commissioners courtroom on the first floor of the Brown County Courthouse.
Commissioners will take up the plan’s proposal from Frank Leonard of 1st Investors, according to the posted agenda. A 457 Deferred Compensation Plan is a supplemental retirement savings program that allows governmental and certain non-governmental employees to make contributions on a pre-tax basis. Federal income taxes are deferred until assets are withdrawn, and no penalty for early withdrawal is assessed, although normal income tax rules apply.
In other business, David Carroll of the county elections administration office will ask approval for Democratic Party election judges.
Pct. 4 Commissioner Larry Traweek will present an application to install a private line at 4812 County Road 139.
Charles McDonald will present a request for plat approval on Patsy’s Pastures at the intersection of CR 151 and CR 152.
County Surveyor Don King will present a request for final approval of a plat on Woodbridge Subdivision.
Budget amendments, reports, approval of bills, approval of treasurer’s report complete the agenda.
