Police arrested a woman on a misdemeanor drug charge early Thursday morning after stopping a pickup with two children riding in the bed.

Officer Danny Hutchins stopped the pickup at 3:15 a.m. in the 600 block of West Austin. The driver consented to a search of the vehicle, and Hutchins found two small bags of marijuana in front of the seat, Hutchins’ report states.

Three adults were in the cab, and one of them said the marijuana was hers, Hutchins’ report states. Amanda Eason, 29, was booked into the Brown County Jail on a charge of possession of marijuana, jail records state.

Officer Zane Taylor arrested Benjamin Anderson, 35, on an assault charge after a domestic disturbance in the 100 block of Ivanhoe. A hit-and-run driver knocked over a mailbox in the 2100 block of 14th. Someone spray-painted graffiti on a fence in the 1600 block of Main.
