A projectile in the form of a plastic toy landed a Brownwood woman in jail over the weekend.
Marah Koto, 21, was arrested and charged with assault.
Brownwood police officer Brian Tompkins was dispatched to an apartment complex in the 1600 block of Avenue E in reference to an assault.
Tompkins was told by a maintenance employee for the complex that he had been speaking to Koto about rules regarding dogs at the complex.
After the employee told Koto that her dogs needed to be moved to the back yard area, Koto became angry and threw a red and green plastic boat, Tompkins report states. A witness to the incident confirmed the man’s story. Tompkins observed a cut to the man’s middle finger knuckle.
Koto admitted throwing the toy, but said while she was no longer taking medication, she was dealing with anger issues.
