Registration for new elementary students entering the Brownwood Independent School District in the 2008—2009 school year will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13.
Students in pre-kindergarten through third grade will enroll at their campus of residence - East Elementary, 2700 Vincent; Northwest Elementary, 311 Bluffview Dr.; and Woodland Heights Elementary, 3900 Fourth St.
All fourth grade students will enroll at Coggin Elementary, 1105 Ave. B.
Fifth and sixth grade students will report to Brownwood Intermediate School at 800 Rogan.
Seventh and eighth grade students report to Brownwood Middle School, 1600 Calvert Rd.
Grades 9 through 12 will register at Brownwood High School, 2100 Slayden.
Students will need to bring a copy of their birth certificate, shot record, Social Security card and proof of residency, such as a utility bill.
Pre-kindergarten students qualify for school if they are 4 years of age on or before Sept. 1, 2008; qualify for free/reduced lunch; if they have limited English proficiency; or if homeless. Proof of income will be required at registration for pre-kindergarten enrollment.
All students age 5 on or before Sept. 1, 2008, are eligible for kindergarten.
The first day of class for students in the Brownwood ISD will be Monday, Aug. 25.
