Several defendants were sentenced recently in 35th District Court.

According to information from District Attorney Micheal Murray’s office, those sentences are as follows:

John Franklin Walker Jr., on probation for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and injury to an elderly, was adjudicated and sentenced to 25 years in prison in each case.

Mona Lisa Vasquez pleaded guilty to burglary of a habitation with intent to commit felony and was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Alva Duane Sikes pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver in a drug free zone and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Sikes, on probation for possession of a controlled substance, was revoked and sentenced to two years in state jail.

Zachary Ryan Haynes pleaded no contest to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was sentenced to nine years in prison. Haynes pleaded no contest to two offenses of possession of a controlled substance and criminal mischief and was sentenced to two years in state jail in each case.

Donnie Darlene Harrell pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone and was sentenced to five years in prison.

Thomas Lynn Tiemann, on probation for tampering with or fabricating physical evidence, was revoked and sentenced to four years in prison.

Deborah Dianne Kenemore, on probation for possession of a controlled substance and tampering with a governmental record, was revoked and sentenced to 15 months in state jail in each case.

Aaron Ray Perez, on probation for possession of a controlled substance, was adjudicated and sentenced to 12 months in state jail.

Gregory Don Philen, on probation for forgery, was adjudicated and sentenced to six months in state jail.

Casey Brent Cockerham pleaded guilty to burglary of a habitation and was sentenced to 12 years in prison.

Lydia Michelle Nixon, on probation for possession of certain chemicals with intent to manufacture a controlled substance, was adjudicated and sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Sharon Ann Dyer pleaded guilty to theft — enhanced and was sentenced to six years in prison.

Alonzo Wayne Gaines, on probation for possession of marijuana, was adjudicated and sentenced to 13 months in state jail.

Tabatha Joe Carrier, on probation for possession of a controlled substance, was revoked and sentenced to 11 months in state jail.

Vera Nell McMullen pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to six months in state jail.
