Joe McDermott, the maestro of imagination, children's songwriter and performer, will be performing at 6 p.m. (doors open at 5:30 p.m.) Saturday, Oct. 1, at the Brownwood Coliseum as a special fund-raiser for the Woodland Heights PTO.

McDermott is a popular Children's musician and songwriter, well-known in the music industry, said Kallie McIver, president for the Woodland Heights PTO. His songs are in heavy rotation on XM Radio's "Kid's Place," she said. Some of his very familiar tunes are "I am Baby," "Kitty Fight" and "Clap Your Hands." McDermott's target audience is children, "ranging in age from infancy to the 'young at heart,'" McIver said.

Tickets are available for sale now at the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce offices and will also be sold at the door. Prices are $5 for upper level and $10 for floor seats.
