Funeral services for Lola Doris Priddy, 90, of Bangs, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the Rocky Creek Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Rocky Creek Cemetery under the direction of the Heartland Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Priddy passed away Saturday, July 1, 2017 in a local nursing home.

Lola was born on April 21, 1927 in the McDaniel Community in Brown County, to Frank Clarence and Mary Kathryn Koch Blair. She grew up in attending the Rocky Creek Baptist Church and was a 1945 graduate of Bangs High School. On June 8, 1946 she married J.A. Priddy in Brownwood and he preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 2003. Being a minister’s wife, Lola lived in several places and they were members of the “Sound of Gospel” singing group. In 1993 she returned to Bangs and was a member of the Victory Baptist Church, was a homemaker and did ironing for the public.

Survivors include her sons, Dennis Priddy and wife Phyllis of Sidney, and Travis and Ruthie Priddy of Brownwood; grandchildren, Sigrid Huddleston and husband Scott, Sharla Jones and husband Jeffrey, Meredith Stone and Cody Stone; great-grandchildren, Abigail, Ty and Ely Huddleston, Weston Stone, Samuel Priddy, Travis Priddy, Faith Priddy and Zephaniah Priddy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and 12 siblings.
