Nadine Davis, 89, of Brownwood went to be with the Lord Monday, Aug. 14, 2017.
Graveside services for Nadine will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 17 at Rocky Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Blaylock Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.
Nadine was born to Norman and Effie Jewel (Hall) Germany on Sept. 25, 1927, in Melvin. Nadine married John Dolton Davis on Dec. 14, 1945 in Brady. She was a member of Bangs Church of Christ until her health declined. She loved cooking, being outdoors and gardening, she was an avid reader, but most of all she loved her family dearly.
Nadine is survived by her children, Billy Davis and wife Paula of Hamlin, Peggy Escherich of Brownwood, Elizabeth Hartman and husband Ronnie of Brownwood, Glen Davis and wife Doris of Denison, Jimmy Davis and wife Nina of Fort Worth, John Davis of Brownwood, Jack Davis of Brownwood, and Jane Lane and husband Keith of Abilene; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Richard Germany and wife Deanna of Magnolia. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Dolton Davis; parents, Norman and Effie Germany; sisters, Dorothy Carlson, Sammy Underwood, and Estelle Cary; and a grandson, David John Mangus.
