ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Karen Jeannette Pierce passed away July 11, 2017 in Pinellas Park, Florida.
Karen was born in Fort Worth on Feb. 12, 1978. She was single and had no children. She attended schools in St. Petersburg, Florida; Raleigh, North Carolina; Brownwood; and Comanche.
As a child she was a member of N.W. Presbyterian Church in St. Petersburg but spent time in Brownwood as a teen and studied Catholicism. She knew God was with her at all times.
As a teen she toured Europe, then returned to Florida and worked as a telemarketer, window cleaner for the family business and as a tattoo artist and artist.
She was preceded in death by great-grandparents, John and Lore Goins, and Paul and Catherine Muhle; grandparents, Roy and Caroline Goins, and James and Elizabeth Largent; step-grandparents, Elmer and Margaret Steel (Hartlaub); aunt, Vicky Largent; step-father, Roger Steele; and uncles, John and Orville Goins.
She was preceded in death by great-grandparents, John and Lou Goins, and Paul and Catherine Muhle; grandparents, Roy and Caroline Goins, and James and Elizabeth Largent; step-grandparents, Elmer and Margaret Steele (Hartlaub); step-father Roger Steele; aunt Vicky Largent; and uncles John and Orville Goins.
She is survived by mom, Jeannie Goins Rothermel and step-father James Rothermel; brother, Sean Pierce and children Ashton, Jacob and Katelyn; father, James Largent and children Vicky and James; uncles Billy and David Largent and families; aunt Sherri and Jon Rivard and children Nathan and Will and families; uncles Lonnie, Lewis, Darrell and Gary Goins and families; step-grandfather Richard Hartlaub; and step-uncles Chuck, Alan and Tom Steele and families.
The service will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 3 at Wolf Valley Cemetery in Rising Star with Bill Campbell officiating.
