Memorial services for Cindy A. Johnson will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29 at First Baptist Church, The Colony, with Dr. Mark Richardson officiating.
She died at 6 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017, at T. Boone Pickens Cancer Center, Baylor-Scott & White Hospital, Dallas, from complications of melanoma cancer.
Born in Alamogordo, New Mexico, on March 13, 1955, she a licensed professional counselor and worked in various positions in San Angelo, Brownwood, and Odessa. Cindy was a member of First Baptist Church in The Colony, and made many friends while studying the word of God and praising the Lord. She was a beloved wife and mother and loved her family unconditionally.
Survivors include husband, R. Neill Johnson III; son, R. Neill Johnson IV and daughter-in-law Natalie Socha; son, Christopher Johnson; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Johnson; grandson, Jacob Johnson; brother and sister-in-law Clark and Betty Johnson; and nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gaylord and Mabel Alexander.
Cindy has requested that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of The Colony, Texas outreach ministries; Pastor Peter, Della Quashie, or the general missions fund: First Baptist Church, 4800 South Colony Blvd., The Colony, Texas 15056.
