Daniel Jay Boivin, 38, was born on Dec. 24, 1978 in Brownwood to Carl Marcellius Boivin and Donna Lee (Sweetser) Boivin.
Dan attended schools in Franklin, Vermont; Blanket, and Milton, Vermont. Receiving his GED in 2003, Dan was disabled however he liked his former job as a cook for KFC.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Donna and her husband Paul LaRocque of Winooski, Vermont; his father Carl and his wife Maria Boivin of Brownwood; fiance Angela Benoit of Winooski, Vermont; his brothers and sisters, Clifford Boivin and Sonja of Milton, Vermont, Melissa Tanner and Moses of Galveston, Kimberly Waneck of Brownwood, Mikey Pelkey of Milton, Vermont, Richard Tanner and Amber of Colchester, Vermont, Naomi Little of Burlington, Vermont, Joshua Boivin of Texas, and Angelica Boivin of Texas; former step-mothers, Judith Tanner of Colchester, Vermont and Lori Moore of Burlington, Vermont; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends in both Vermont and Texas.
Dan was predeceased by his grandparents, Edward, and Marion Sweetser of Milton, Vermont, Clifford and Essie Mae Bessette of Brownwood, Arthur Boivin of Ackworth, New Hampshire; and his uncle, Mark Sweetser of Milton, Vermont.
A Celebration of Dan’s Life was held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19 where those present were encouraged to share memories of Dan in the Minor Funeral Home, Route 7, Milton, Vermont.
