Mary Lou DelaRosa, 64, of Brownwood, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, in Abilene.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31 at St. Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church with the Rev. Francis Njoku officiating. Burial will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.

Mary was born in Brownwood to Silberio and Maria Aurora Alvarado on Dec. 1, 1953. She married Joe DelaRosa on Jan. 21, 1987 in Brownwood. She was a loving mother, dedicated wife and firm believer in Christ. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, taking pictures and spending time with loved ones. She opened her heart and her home to friends and family and will be sorely missed.

She was preceded in death by father, Silberio; mother, Maria Aurora Alvarado; and sister, Matilda Martinez.

Mary is survived by husband, Joe DelaRosa; children, Valerie Rojas, Chrisenthia Escobedo, Nancy Sanchez, Becky Knutson; brother, Joe Alvarado & wife; brother, Tony Alvarado & wife; sister, Jane Gibson & husband; sister, Margaret Reyes & family; sister, Betty Reyes & family; sister, Sylvia Zavala & family; sister, Beatrice Ramos & husband; and numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
