GOLDTHWAITE — Funeral services for Ish Tanner, 91, of Regency, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17 at Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home in Goldthwaite. Burial will follow at the Regency Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
He died Jan. 27, 2018.
He was born Aug. 20, 1926 to Lonnie Tanner and Nora Alma Parrish Tanner in Clarksville. He married Rose LaFon Teal on Oct. 25, 1944 in Lubbock. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his children, Jimmy Tanner of Arkansas, Philip and Gloria Tanner of Garland, Cristy Bennett of Robinson, Melissa and Dennis Gist of Iola, Colorado, Thea Tanner Rasins of Topeka, Kansas, Bo and Orren Tidwell of Fort Worth, and Dawn Tanner Gaede of Midlothian; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, LaNora Welch of Brownfield; and sister-in-law, Jane Kennedy of Brownfield.
He was preceded in death by his wife Rose LaFon Teal Tanner; his sisters, Mary Lampe and Lois Tanner; and his brother, Leon Tanner.
