GOLDTHWAITE — Funeral services for Janie Corona, 84, of Goldthwaite, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 6 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Goldthwaite. Burial will follow at Big Valley Cemetery in Mills County. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, with Rosary at 7 p.m. , at Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home.
She died Saturday, March 3, 2018 in Brownwood.
She was born July 21, 1933 in San Saba to Marcus Gonzales and Amelia Vela Gonzales. She married Nick Corona on Sept. 25, 1999.
Survivors include her children, Elva Cantu of Brownwood, Tony Corona and wife Sandra of Brownwood, and Ricky Corona and wife Luz of Brownwood; eight grandchildren, Sandro Cantu and Julie, Melissa and Abas Okposin, Nick Cantu, Marcus Corona, Ryan Corona, Paulette Rosales, Jose Luis Rosales and Ricky Corona Jr.; four great-grandchildren, Jake, Stella, Miles and Aubrey; brothers, Augusta Gonzales, Joe Gonzales and Luis Gonzalez; and sisters, Cuca Martinez, Mineva Garza, Susan Miller and Dora Bosquez.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nick Corona; and brothers, Marcos Gonzalez Jr. and Juan Gonzales.
