GOLDTHWAITE — Funeral services for Curtis Albert Covey, 65, of Goldthwaite, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 28 at First United Methodist Church in Goldthwaite. Burial will follow at Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home.
He died Wednesday, April 25, 2018 in Mills County.
He was born Jan. 9, 1953 in Clifton to Charley Albert Covey and Mary Deen Ridings. He married Wanda Teague on Oct. 3, 1975 in Brady.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Covey of Goldthwaite; children and spouses: Tonya Ringo and Jimmy of Whitney, Daniel Covey and fiancé Julie Hohertz of San Angelo, Edward Dotson and Katie Mucchin of Merkel, Misti Snodgrass and Raymond of Goldthwaite, and Sharmarie Foytik and William of Goldthwaite; grandchildren: Trent, Justin and Laini Ringo; Jeremy Oakley, Austin Karpiscak, Brianna and Kira Covey; Timothy, Joseph, Amber, Vinson and Matthew Dotson; Christian Faith, Rachel, Haylen and Craig Snodgrass; and Savanna, Kaylie, Alex and Lexi Foytik; siblings: Mary Evelyn Martindale of Teague, JoAnn Oates of Hewitt, Roy Covey of Whitney, Charlotte Roberts of Teague, Craig Covey of Mexia, Kim Holmes of Waco, Donna Covey of Waco, and Christi Covey of Teague; uncles: Larry Ridings and Earl Ray Sutton; aunts: Jo Hicks and Bonnie Covey; and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charley Albert Covey and Mary Deen Ridings Covey; his brothers, Ricky Gene Covey and Ronnie Steve Covey; and his grandsons, Tylor Foytik and Cody Dotson.
