COMANCHE — Funeral services for Amos Ray Cox, 92, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29 in Comanche Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Comanche County.
He passed away Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2018, in Fort Worth.
He was born on Oct. 19, 1925, in Durant, Oklahoma, to Oliver Wilson Cox and Clara Bell (Teague) Cox. He was a World War II veteran, serving as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps. On May 21, 1960, he married Lorene Inez Thomas in Fort Worth.
Survivors include his stepson-in-law, Martin Romanoski of Gun Barrel City; sons, Amos Ray Laviolette of Fort Worth and Gary Curtis Cox of Washington; and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife; one daughter, Janetta Mae Romanoski; and one son, Stephen Grant Cox.
