COLEMAN — Services for Allison U. “Al” Weaver, 78, of Cypress and former Coleman resident, will be at 2 p.m. today at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel in Coleman, with the Rev. John Stanislaw officiating. Burial will follow in the Santa Anna Cemetery.

Visitation will be prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.

He died Thursday, June 12, 2008, at Coleman County Medical Center.

He was born March 23, 1930, in Coleman, the son of Spencer E. Weaver and Lucretia Davis Weaver. He grew up in Coleman and Brownwood and graduated from Brownwood High School and North Texas State. He was married to Bette Ditzig on Sept. 6, 1968, in Houston. He was an inspector on chemical plants, managed the Weaver Ranch north of Santa Anna and was a member of First Baptist Church in Coleman.

Survivors include his wife, Bette Weaver of Cypress; one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Cindy Weaver of Houston; one sister, Lucretia Angermiller of Houston; two grandchildren; one niece; three stepchildren, Mark Clark and wife, Waynette, of Sugarland, Dale Clark and wife Susan of Tomball and Brad Clark of Anchorage, Alaska; and seven step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Spencer Earnest Weaver Jr. in 1957.
