CLEVELAND?– Funeral services for Darrel Cupps, 87, of Santa Anna will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at the Cleveland Church of Christ with Jack Brant officiating. Burial will follow in Cleveland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Henderson Funeral Home.

    He died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

    He was born Aug. 19, 1923, in Sidney Darrel Cupps, Coleman County, to Elmer Roscoe and Loving Pauline Baugh Cupps. On March 13, 1953, he was married to Dovie Lea Wells in Trickham. She preceded him in death in 1982. He later was married to Carrie Bible on Jan. 21, 1988. He served in the Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Cleveland Church of Christ. He was a retired farmer, rancher and fence builder.

    Survivors include his son, Richard Cupps and wife Betty Sue of  Santa Anna; daughter, Sydney Burleson and husband Bob of Brownwood; three sisters, Ovella Williams of Santa Anna, Eunice Terry and husband Emmitt of Fort Worth, Hazel Jean Cox and husband Frank of San Angelo; step-children, Shirley Baker and husband Eugene of Brownwood and Lynn Bible of Bangs; numerous nieces and nephews; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

    He was preceded in death by two wives; two sisters; three brothers; and one niece and one nephew.
