BARTLESVILLE, OKLA.– Services for Dorothy Jean Gillespie, 86, of Bartlesville, Okla., will be held at 10 a.m. today in the Adams Boulevard Church of Christ. Burial will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 3, in the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Odessa under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home and Crematory.
She died Monday, Aug. 30, 2010, in her home. She was born Sept. 30, 1923, in Stamford to James Hugh and Ruth Ann Evetts.
She was married to Nugent Doyle Gillespie on May 9, 1942, in Abilene. She a member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two grandchildren, Crystal Gillespie and Emily Rhodes; and one great-grandson, Garrett Henley.
Survivors include her son, Gregory Doyle Gillespie of Dewey, Okla.; her daughters, Rebecca Jean Henley and husband Art of Bartlesville, Okla. and Deborah Diane Rhodes and husband Paul of Amarillo; one sister, Ann Yvette Fisher and husband Lesley of Brownwood; eight grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
