COLEMAN — Funeral services for C. Jack Shahan, 75, of Lake Coleman, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, June 7, in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Seals officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery
He died Thursday, June 5, 2008, at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene.
He was born Jan. 23, 1933, in Bray, Okla., a son of Claud and Ina Stewart Shahan. He grew up in Bray and attended school there. On Sept. 19, 1952, he was married to Joyce Brown in Doyle, Okla. He worked as a plant superintendent for Texaco for many years, living in Eunice, N.M., for 16 years. After retiring in 1990, he and his wife moved to Lake Coleman. He was Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Shahan of Lake Coleman; three children, Ron Shahan and wife Terrie of Lake Coleman, Denise Mohar and husband Michael of Midland, Keith Shahan and wife SueZann of Burlington, Okla.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters and one brother, LaWanda Craddock of Marlow, Okla., Frankie Hunt and husband Herbert of Lake Coleman, Gene Shahan and wife Mary of Duncan, Okla., and Beverly Wilson and husband Steve of Loco, Okla.; two sisters-in-law, Annette Young of Marlow, Okla., and Carolyn Whaley of Plano; and numerous nieces and nephews.
