COLEMAN — Funeral services for Raymond Lee Isbell, 84, of Coleman will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Coleman Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
He died Monday, Dec. 20, 2010, at Holiday Hill Nursing Home.
He was born Feb. 20, 1926, in Coolidge, to William Wilkerson Isbell and Mary Olene Myers Isbell. He was married to Velva May Parks on Oct. 18, 1952, in Clovis, N. M. He worked as a rancher on Weaver Ranch and Wilson Ranch, was a cook at the Tradewinds in the 1970s and as a tire tech at Nunley Tire and later, Williams Tire Store.
Survivors include his son, William Lee Isbell Sr. and friend, Patsy Cope, of Coleman; daughter, Mary Ann Isbell of Coleman; sister, Eura Royall of Coleman; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
