SAN SABA — Services for Natalyah Faubion, 89, of San Saba, will be at 3 p.m. today at Howell-Doran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Riley officiating and Larry Nettleship assisting. Burial will follow at San Saba City Cemetery.

She died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2007, in Lampasas.

She was born Dec. 20, 1917, in Lometa, the daughter of William Monroe and Minnie Marler Monroe. She was married to Gene Faubion on Nov. 13, 1936, in Lometa. She worked as bookkeeper for the Owen Cattle Company for 30 years. She was a member and played the organ for the past 40 years for the First Baptist Church and a 50-year member of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include close family friends, Ronnie and Lesa Schulze of San Saba; their children, Corrie Jo Schulze of Tuscola and Mindy Cantu and her husband Phillip of San Saba; one brother, Norris Monroe and his wife Wanda of Lometa; two nieces, Cathy Maples of Lampasas and Karen Walker and her husband Tom of Round Rock; and several nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother, Norbin Monroe and his wife Marcella; and one sister, Norlaine Monroe.

The family requests that memorials be made to San Saba’s First Baptist Church or The Eastern Star.
