Orval Mow went Home to be with the Lord on Dec. 29, 2007.
Funeral services will be held for Mr. Mow at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, at the Netherton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ken Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Jones Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at Netherton Funeral Home.
Orval was born Jan. 15, 1934, in Silver Valley, Texas, the son of the late George and Grace Mow. He had been a resident of Brownwood since 1996 having moved from Plainview. He was a member of Heartland Church where he participated in the Mountain Movers. Orval married Leta Clayton on April 7, 1956, in Portales, N.M.
Survivors include his wife, Leta Mow of Brownwood; children, Dot and Chris Hall of Brownwood, Dyanne and Tim Henderson of Ofallon, Mo., Tonya and Brian Vogt of Beaumont and Dwayne and Jackie Mow of Arlington; brother, Melvin Mow of Mart; and grandchildren, Justin and Chase Hall, Cody Henderson and Kannon and India Vogt.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Clovis Mow; and sister, Betty Burt.
