COMANCHE - Graveside services for David Morgan Wilkinson, 51, of Carthage will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, at Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche with the Rev. Ken Stone officiating.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Comanche Funeral Home.

He died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011, in Lubbock after a sudden illness while visiting his children.

He was born on Jan. 18, 1960 in Fort Huachuca, Ariz., to Billie Weldon and Marjorie Lee (Williams) Wilkinson.

On July 21, 1978, he was married to his high school sweetheart, Sandra. He worked for Texas Utilities at Martin Creek Power Plant, and later in the control rooms at gas plants in Colorado City.

He was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Henderson.

Survivors include two sons, David Brian Wilkinson and wife Katrina Dawn of Ropesville, and Jonathon Wilkinson; wife, Olivia of Lubbock; one daughter, Kelli Wilkinson of Lubbock; four grandchildren; two sisters, Tena Bates and husband David of Clanton, Ala., and Patty Rushing and husband Tomy of Hallsville; brother, Delbert Weldon Wilkinson and wife Linda of Carthage; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father on Nov. 4, 1968, in Vietnam; and his mother on Nov. 27, 2004, in Beckville.
