Meina Emilee Lehman, age 97, of Thrifty died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2010, at the Brownwood Nursing and Rehab Center.

    Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today at the Rocky Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Rick Justice and the Rev. Ruben Packard officiating.  Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will follow in the Rocky Creek Cemetery under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home of Early.

    She was born April 6, 1913, in Carmine, Texas, the daughter of the late Fritz Henry and Bertha Elnora Sauer Lehman. She attended school at Darden Hill. Her home was in the Driftwood community. She was married to Herman Willie Lehman in Austin, Texas, on Aug. 26, 1941. She was a member of the Rocky Creek Baptist Church and had lived in Brown County since 1941.

    She is survived by her four sons, Wilford Lehman and wife Luetta of Brownwood, Lewis Lehman and wife Debra of Brownwood, Travis Lehman and wife Doris Jean of Bangs, Terry Lehman and wife Cathie of Brownwood. Seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild also survive, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her husband; four brothers Otto, Herman, Charlie, and Henry; two sisters, Elsie Rhoades and Louise Koenig; and one granddaughter, Beverly Lehman.
