COMANCHE — Funeral services for the Rev. Floyd Brawley, 87, of Comanche, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, 2007, at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Matt Hall officiating and the Rev. Lonnie Brawley assisting.
Burial will follow at Cox Cemetery in Comanche County.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. A meal for the family will be served at First United Methodist Church following the funeral services.
He died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007, at Western Hills Healthcare Residence in Comanche.
He was born July 8, 1920, in Sidney to Vollie C. and Lola Rose Steele Brawley. On Jan. 14, 1939, he was married to Fredonia Low in Comanche.
Survivors include his wife, Fredonia Brawley of Comanche; sons, Harmon Dale Brawley of Comanche, Ronnie Brawley of Tolar, Terry Brawley of Odessa and David Brawley of Comanche; 23 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sisters, Octa Lou Posey of Washington, Billie Joe Haire of San Angelo and June Coyle of Comanche; numerous nieces and nephews; and two sisters-in-law.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Ruby Pearl Brawley.
