Memorial services for Ella Mae Hester will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2008, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Ella Mae was born Aug. 20, 1937, in Tunis, Texas, to the union of Emmitt and Annie Bell (Banks) Gaines. She was a 1956 graduate of Brownwood High. She was married to Richard A. Hester Dec. 20, 1956, and to this union three sons were born.

Ella Mae worked as a telephone operator for G.T.E. and as a C.N.A. for Cross Country Health. She confessed Christ as her savior early in life and united with the Jehovah’s Witnesses.

She loved to witness to all she would come in contact with about the love God has for them.

She was a loving and free spirit and would shine a ray of light toward anyone with her warm and embracing smile.

She leaves to cherish her memory three sons, Ralph Hester of Abilene, Ricky Hester of Brownwood, and Bland Hester of Waco; one brother, Emmitt (Bobbie) Gaines of Brownwood; one sister, Jaunita McArthur of Brownwood; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, cousins and Jehovah’s Witnesses family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, father and mother.
