Funeral services for Paul Snow, 94, of Brownwood, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 7, at the Netherton Funeral Home Chapel with Paul McClung and the Rev. Sterling Lentz officiating. Interment followed at Bangs Cemetery under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home.
The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Netherton Funeral Home.
He passed away Tuesday morning at a local nursing home.
Paul was born Nov. 14, 1912, the son of James P. and Margaret (Climer) Snow. He was a member of the Fourth Street Church of Christ. Paul was an active Mason for 70 years, with membership at both the Bangs 926 Lodge and the Indian Creek 807 Lodge. He was an endowed member of the Fort Worth Scottish Rite and a member of the Suez Shrine Temple. Paul was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star for 60 years, with membership in Brownwood 116 Lodge and an endowed member of the Santa Anna 247 Lodge.
He married Annie M. Hudgens on April 19, 1934, in Bangs. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include his daughter, Jo Ann Snow and husband, Charles “Chuck” Snow, of Brownwood; grandchildren, Teresa Ruiz and husband, Maj. Rodger Ruiz of Fort Leavenworth, Kan., and Victoria Snow of Brownwood; great-grandchildren, Adam Gregory and Stephanie Snow, both of Brownwood; companion, Evelyn Breedlove; and sister-in-law, Bonnie Hudgens Pyburn of Brownwood.
In addition to his wife and parents, Paul was preceded in death by a son, Paul W. Snow; three brothers; and seven sisters.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to any kind of cancer research center.
