COLEMAN — Graveside services for Ola Dee Johnson Jarvis, 62, of Brownwood will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, in Coleman City Cemetery Pavilion. Burial will follow in the Coleman Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
She died Monday, June 29, 2009, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
She was born July 4, 1946, in Coleman, to Amos L. and Rosa Belle Francis Johnson. On March 5, 1984, she was married to J. B. Jarvis in Cross Plains. She was a restaurant cook and a member of Canaan Baptist Church in Loraine.
Survivors include her husband, J. B. Jarvis of Brownwood; daughter, Ola Dee Lobstein and husband Earnest O. Lobstein Sr. of Breckenridge; son, Billy J. Vest Jr. of Fort Worth; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Hubert Floyd Johnson and wife Anita of Conroe, Roy L. Johnson and wife Kathleen of Spring, and Claud Johnson and wife Kathy of Odessa; two sisters, Rosa Lee Deason of Rising Star, and Virginia Gookin and husband Dennis of Tulsa, Okla.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Johnson.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
