MANIFEST, La. - Services for Billy Ray Peavy, 48, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Community Pentecostal Church in Manifest, La., with the Rev. Claude Terrell officiating. Burial was in Heard Cemetery, in Manifest, La., under the direction of Comer Funeral Home in Ferriday, La.

He died Monday, July 14, 2008, in Alexandria, La.

He was born March 16, 1960, in Midland, Texas, the son of William L. and Janice S. Peavy. He was a resident of Concordia Parish for 18 years and was a member of the Community Pentecostal Church. He was employed as a computer technician.

Survivors include his wife, Michelle Peavy; five sons, Thomas Roach, John Roach, Justin Peavy, Christopher Peavy, all of Ferriday, and Toby Peavy of Copperas Cove, Texas; five sisters, Linda Faye Peacock of Santa Anna, Texas, Clara Jean Terrell of Wyoming, Sharon Kay Johnson of Natchitoches, La., Shirley Faye Peavy of Brownwood, Texas, and Ruby Mae Terrell of Harrisonburg, La.; two grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
