Funeral services for Elizabeth Jane Taylor, 91, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at Oak Street Baptist Church with Pastor Joe Finfrock officiating. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. in Cherokee Cemetery in Cherokee, Texas. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today, at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Elizabeth passed away Sunday, May 31, 2009, in Graham.

Elizabeth was born on April 8, 1918, in Newton, Texas, to the late Dudley and Annie Mae (Dickson) Jester. She was married to Richard Sloan Taylor in San Saba in 1940. He preceded her in death in 1996. Elizabeth was a homemaker and she moved to Graham in 1998 from Brownwood. While residing in Brownwood she taught Sunday school in the pre school department for many years and volunteered for the American Red Cross and Republican Women. Elizabeth was a member of the Oak Street Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Jane Kelly and husband, Charlie of Salinas, Calif., and Sue Scibek and husband, Stan of Graham; sons, Keith Taylor and wife Joann of Kingman, Ariz., and Mike Taylor and wife Cindy of Carrollton; brother, Joe Mac Jester of Austin; sisters, Sue Mullins of Ashtabula, Ohio, June Coppe of Euless, and Judy Jester of Garland; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Sloan Taylor Jr.
