Rosemary Silva, age 67, of Tamarak Mountain, Lake Brownwood, died Monday afternoon at the Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

Her body was cremated under the direction of Heartland Funeral & Cremation Services of Early and no services are planned at this time.

She was born Oct. 3, 1940, in Wink, Texas, the daughter of Samuel W. and Edith Watson Newberry. She was a homemaker married to George Silva on March 23, 1958, in Juarez, Mexico. She had been a resident of Brown County since 2001 moving form Silver City, N.M.

She is survived by her husband, George of Lake Brownwood; two sons, Phillip Silva of Truth or Consequences, N.M., and George Silva of Midland; a daughter, Sonja Moore of Arlington; two sisters, Paula Gant of Truth or Consequences, N.M., and Sammie Baker of Lake Ivie; five grandchildren, Sandra Carrington of Granbury, Jesse Duane Seay of Houston, Rebekka Silva of Charleston, S.C., Whittney Silva of Midland and Kevin Chappell of Clint; and three great-grandchildren, Andrea, Keona, and Matthew Chappell, all of Clint.
