CISCO — Bobby Joe Jernigan, 76, of Cisco passed away Monday, July 23, 2007, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 26, at Kimbrough Funeral Home Chapel in Cisco, officiated by the Rev. Clyde Franks pastor of Eastland Church of God. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Kimbrough Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
She was born in Pueblo, Callahan County, Texas, on March 12, 1931, to Alfonzo Jacob and Roxie (Dorsey) Basket. She married Luther Barbee (Bud) Jernigan on Dec. 24, 1948, in Cisco; he preceded her in death on Jan. 31, 2006. She was a homemaker and a member of Bible Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons, Larry Luther Jernigan and wife, Connie, of Cisco, David Wayne Jernigan and wife, Stephanie, and Bryant Wade Jernigan and wife, Debbie, all of Brownwood; daughters, Barbee Joe Howell and husband, Alton, of Bridgeport, Petty Collene Harris and husband, James, and Angela Sue Jernigan, all of Brownwood; sisters, Billie Mae Proctor of Albany and Betty Pilcher and husband, John, of Eunice, N.M.; 25 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren; and an uncle, J.T. Basket.
She was also, preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Bryline Martin and Juanita Whitt, a granddaughter, Davona Jernigan and three great-grandchildren.
