COMANCHE — Graveside services for Paul Martindale, 68, of Comanche will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, in Oakwood Cemetery, with the Rev. Kenneth Steele officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today, at Comanche Funeral Home. Lunch will be held at noon on Wednesday, at 530 E. Walcott, Comanche.
He died Monday, Aug. 31, 2009, at Abilene Regional Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 16, 1940, in Texarkana, to Hoyt Douglas Martindale and Bessie Alfredo (Hoover) Martindale. He was a veteran and served in the U.S. Navy. He was a truck driver and worked for Bradberry Feed Mill in Dublin. He was married to Barbara Ann Taylor on Nov. 17, 1987, in Comanche.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Martindale of Comanche; daughters, Kathy and husband Jeremy Ashcraft of Peaster and Paula Sue and husband Les Roberts of Abilene; son, Douglas Allan Martindale of Fort Worth; numerous grandchildren; and brother, Matthew Martindale of Fort Worth.
He was preceded in death by his brother, William Ray Pearson and sister, Clyde Faith Jenkins.
