Floyd McMellon Cross, 65, formerly of Fort Worth, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, at the family ranch in Grosvenor, Texas, with loved ones by his side.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 3, at Heartland Funeral Home in Early, Texas. Graveside services for Mr. Cross will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4, at the family ranch in Grosvenor, 11300 CR 105, with the procession leaving the funeral home in Early at 10 a.m.
Floyd was born on Nov. 13, 1945, in Fort Worth, Texas, where he had lived his entire life. He was married to Betty May in 1965, and had worked at Jahns Plumbing Supply for over 40 years.
Mr. Cross served his country in the United States Marines.
Floyd Cross is survived by two sons, Gary Cross and wife Dana, of Grosvenor, and Steven Cross and wife Shelly, of Coleman; two grandsons, Cody Cross of Grosvenor and Kutter Cross of Coleman. He is also survived by three brothers, Ken Cross of Fort Worth, Joe Cross of Waco, and Criss Cross, of San Antonio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Evelyn Cross; a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Ann Cross and a niece, Tonya Cross.
