James A. Webb, 78, of Blanket, Texas, and formerly of Granbury, died May 17, 2007.

In accordance with Mr. Webb’s wishes, his body will be cremated under the direction of Davis-Morris Funeral Home.

He was born July 19, 1928, to Richard Courtney and Thelma Mae (Kidd) Webb in Coleman, Texas. He married Mary Ruth (Storey) in Fort Worth, Texas. He was a Baptist and was retired from Sears & Roebuck as an electronics technician. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include two sons, Jim “Button” Webb of Blanket and Royce C. Webb of Whiskey Flats, Texas; two granddaughters; and four brothers: A.D. Webb of Abilene, Lawton E. Webb of Shreveport, La., Kenneth R. Webb of Austin and John R. Webb of Proctor.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Becky J. Miller; son-in-law, Ron Miller; parents, R.C. and Thelma Webb; and wife, Mary Ruth Webb.

Davis-Morris Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
